A celebration of modern craftspeople from
the South West

In this sumptuously photographed and elegantly designed hardback book which aims to demonstrate the incredible diversity and impressive quality of contemporary craft in the Far West. Cornwall is a hub of exciting talent, home to makers who often incorporate the latest in modern technology while honouring age-old skills. Inspired by the unique landscape of sea and countryside, many of them work in highly sustainable and often co-operative and innovative ways.

Meet the Makers
WEST

This is an article I was featured in for ‘West’, the Western Morning News on Sunday magazine. Anya Rice the photographer had visited me in my studio and recorded me at work weaving, she had also documented the tools and yarns, which I use as well as the environment in which I work. The article highlighted the creativity in Cornwall and the skills involved in different crafts from weavers to glass blowers.

This is an article to showcase the lovely 45 Southside Gallery in Plymouth’s historic Barbican. I was asked to be part of a Textile Exhibition at the gallery. 45 Southside Gallery specialises in ceramics, glass and metalwork by artists based in Devon and Cornwall.
